About the Author

Anthony is a Pilates studio owner, teacher, educator and writer originally from Melbourne Australia. Anthony teaches workshops globally on the material from his books titled Innovations in Pilates. Anthony was the Director of Advanced Education for BASI Pilates and has qualifications in philosophy, sports science, exercise medicine and clinical anatomy. Anthony has presented his workshops and keynote addresses in over 25 countries and is a leading creative thinker in the Pilates industry. Anthony’s three books contain fascinating world-first 3D Pilates graphics. Anthony is currently developing "StretchFit." Beautifully illustrated & explained. This guide would be a wonderful tool, particularly, for those new to teaching Pilates or learning to use the reformer. As a PMA certified instructor, I didn't find any surprising new info but I have found it useful to share with my clients so they can have a deeper understanding of exactly what & where they are stretching.

It is okay if you are a pilates professional. I think it would be too in depth unless you are a medical or physical therapist professional.

Another gem on Pilates exercises! I'm kinda limber but some of the pictured positions made me wince (yikes! Not in THIS lifetime). But provided even more info on how we move.

Love this book as it's a perfect "tool" to have on hand for teaching Pilates on reformer . The images make it super easy to identify muscle function .

I'm just getting into the reformer and love it. It's like having your own physical therapist.

Not that impressed with this book. It doesn't have any really illuminating ideas and isn't that easy to read. The quality of it is a little flimsy too.
