This book was on the text list for law school. It does what it's supposed to do. :) I think it may have helped me decide NOT to go to law school.
It reads like a manual, but is very helpful for starting out. This was the textbook for my 1L Legal Research class and it's been very helpful.
If you are just wanting basic information on legal research I think this book would be perfect. I felt it was a bit unnecessary for my law school legal writing and research class though. The information was just too basic for that purpose. I felt like I learned very little.
