Bert Casey has been a professional performer and teacher in the Atlanta area for over 35 years. Bert plays several instruments (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and flute) and has written eight instructional courses (Acoustic Guitar Primer, Acoustic Guitar Book 2, Electric Guitar Primer, Bass Guitar Primer, Mandolin Primer, Ukulele Primer, Flatpicking Guitar Songs, and Bluegrass Fakebook). Bert performed for several years in Atlanta and the Southeast with his bands Home Remedy and Blue Moon. 25 years ago, Bert Casey and Geoff Hohwald started Watch & Learn to help revolutionize music instructional courses by developing well thought out, step by step instructional methods that were tested for effectiveness on beginners before publication. I teach guitar and use this book. I think it is the best resource out there by far.
Great book for beginners. Bert Casey goes step by step. I got more for our church members learning how to play the guitar.
Is a nice step to the next level for those of us who have thought of ourselves as musically challenged. Use both of Bert Casey's book and DVD in combination and you will surprIse yourself in about eight weeks how well even the worst of us can carry a tune.

Great for getting started again on guitar, after not playing for a long time.Easy to follow, pleasant guy on the videos with straight forward lessons.Seems to understand what beginners need.
I have to say this is a great book for anyone wanting to learn how to play the guitar, it takes weeks to get use to playing the chords on a guitar with that left hand, but I guarantee using this book daily plus the dvd will make you really glad you took the time to learn, I have two other guitar books and this book has been my main source as a beginner
