I've been playing racquetball seriously for 5 years, and tennis for 25 years. I play a few times a week, but I didn't cross train. Eventually, I got hurt, and I couldn't figure out how to recover. I had a job that had me sitting down all day, and I started getting less and less able to play racquetball without pain. The exercises Suzanna describes helped me to recover from those injuries, and to condition my body to avoid injury from the stresses of playing a racquet sport. They also showed me how to compensate for a variety of the stresses I was inflicting on my body as part of my desk job. I highly recommend the book both for the explanations it gives of the types of stresses that lead to injury, and the excellent photos and descriptions that make it possible to understand how to do each exercise and what to focus on. I've purchased Kindle books before where the photos get mangled -- this book does an excellent job of preserving a print like feel, and since the illustrations of the exercises are the key to the book, that really helps.

This small book implements the same thought in a program that does exactly what the title says: Helps you prevent injuries and getting in good shape for playing squash. Just remember that this is a book for action, reading it will not do it alone.

I'm Jeff and i want to comment on this book Racquetball Squash conditioning and injury prevention I'm mainly a racquetball player of 30 plus years with a little bit of paddle tennis experience, Being a player and instructor for so many years i began to develop nagging injuries to my knees,Hips and shoulders after playing on theses injuries I blow out a knee popped my achilles tendon. After i came back from my surgeries i couldn't get to the ball my balance was off a i was standing up on my shots because of my injuries i could not get down on the ball and when i did get down on the ball to be in the proper shooting position i could not recover quick enough to get to my opponents ball, So I know i needed to find something to help me with my game. The knowledge i have on injury prevention was to rest a bit and workout more after i would feel better, But this book showed me another approach to help me heal with different exercises and stretches that i would not have thought of on my own. This is a good easy read and very informative, with the injuries i had my court coverage was not what it once was, I followed the guide lines in this book my confidence on the court began to comeback being able to get down on the ball with balance and power and recover enough to get more balls than i did before using the exercises and stretches in Racquetball Squash book this is a good tool to add to your conditioning regiment.
